I got my Entry Visa last week. I’m one more step closer. I keep tripping off of the “Not Permitted To Work”. As I type this I’m like, I never would have thought I would be so happy at the prospect of not working. Now…I’m not going to sitting on my ass. I’ve given myself the title of “House Manager”. Yea…there are other terms (i.e. Housewife, Domestic Goddess, etc.) however, my ego (which has long been held up by my occupation, and what “projects” I’m working on) dictates I put the Manager moniker on my title. LOL. Whew!! This is going to be fun. We get our housing assignment on the 10th of December…that should prove interesting (hopefully, not so much). I’ve seen pictures of the available housing (which isn’t bad), however, you never know what you’re getting until you see it…gawd…I hope it’s not awful (I’m already hating the tile floors, I prefer wood), and that my neighbors are cool, an added bonus would be if they didn’t have any kids. J
As House Manager, the 1st item of duty is (1) hiring a houseboy (I’m really loving this) and someone to take care of the yard, and (1a) decorating (furniture purchases, painting, wall art, rugs, etc). Then there are the mundane daily items, such as grocery shopping, food preparation, paying bills, etc. I will also plan our travel (which we plan to do a lot of). I should write myself an RAA (Responsibility, Accountability, and Authority).
