I've always been a reader (I love to read)...and I don't have a full count...but by a good guess-tament...I could easily state that I have read literally thousands of books. All kinds of books, fiction, non-fiction, easy sleazy, inspirational, self-help, etc., oh yea...and let's not forget the dreaded college textbooks. Since I'm now an unemployed woman living in Saudi; I'm reading more than I have in a long time.
I have a strong interest in a specific time period of English history...that I can't seem to get enough of...probably because it is so deliciously scandalous. So...when I come across a good piece of fiction, based on true historical events...it's a must read. I just finished reading "The Boleyn Inheritance". I loved this book!! And, if you're a fan of the show, "The Tudors" you will love this book. If you're in Saudi...it is available in Jarir bookstore.
Being a fan of the Tudors, I'm curious as to how they are going to turn the oh-so-hot Jonathan Rhys Meyers into the fat, disgusting, flatulent pig that King Henry VIII turns into.
This book gets 4 out of 5 stars.

I'm not much of a book reader.
I don't like Novels because I have trouble keeping track of all the characters (War and Peace just killed me. SO much characters and with foreign names too! :( ) but I love reading history books and especially military themed books but Jarir took down the military book section (probably since I'm the only one that bought them).
Anyway, sorry for blabbing about myself but concerning Jonathan Rhys Meyers, he has some experience in becoming a fat flatulent pig since he's played Elvis Presley. :P
LOL...He played Elvis? I gotta check this out.
I suppose they're fattening him up right now! ;)
They gotta be...last season ended with Anne's head on the block (I was sooooo angry, and of course I cried); this season starts in March or April with him marrying the Lady Jane Seymore...and I think this is about the time or shortly after her death that he starts to turn from the handsome prince into a gross pig. I can hardly wait for the season to start.
But Terri, it's history! Ann dies, nothing can help that!
But I wasn't happy either..... :(
And we have many more wives to go....
Bon't get too attached!
ROFLMAO!!! I Know!!! But...I still can't help it!! I cried at the end of this book as well. That bastard executed his 16 year old "forced to marry him" 5th wife. And, even though it's history and I know what's going to happen...I'm still "feeling it"...which is really a testament to both excellent writing and acting.
I've been living Saudi Arabia for eleven years now. Like other places, it has its good and bad sides. I love Ras Tanura and live in Danah/Dhahran. I only have one suggestion for you... do not write that you are living in Saudi. The word, Saudi, refers to a person. Just write that you are living in Saudi Arabia or Saudia.
There's lots to see, if you like desert adventure... but having Bahrain next door is really a treat. Like you, I am currently in the U.S. and expect to return to KSA on April 16th. I will keep reading your blog and hope to meet you and your husband one day soon.
Keep posting because I am enjoying your posts and videos.
