I'm feeling really good right now. I went to the beauty salon on camp and met a wonderful Saudi lady. We had excellent conversation...and I really did enjoy meeting her. I don't know why I'm feeling so good...maybe it was because of the positive interaction...maybe it's because I got a much needed mani/pedi and eyebrow wax, maybe it was the good vibrations I picked up...but I feel like I have to acknowledge the good feelings along with the bad, especially since I've been so crabby lately.
Gotta go...I'm hungry and this is a good time to go into town...as we've just consulted the prayer schedule. People back home...I will explain the prayer schedule thing in a future post. Believe me...you have to work around this schedule.
I'm Out!!

Hello Sarah...It was great meeting you as well. BTW: Love Actually is one of my FAVORITE movies. My favorite line: "Just in cases".
It's so good to know that the beauty salon is and will always be the place for a woman to replenish...no matter where you are in the world.
Thank God the beautician speaks English though!! When I was in Italy I was hurting for some conditioner. For real. I don't know what was going on with the weather as I don't usually use conditioner but my hair was dry as all get out. The thing is...you can't find it anywhere. They don't leave it in the hotel rooms, they didn't have it in the stores. So I end up in this hair salon trying to communicate with this gay Italian guy what I needed. He was so nice, trying to be all helpful but he didn't speak any English. Anyway, we worked it out eventually. He saved my hair!! It's funny now that I think about it. Long live beauty salons, girl!
Hey Melly Mel...I fabulous gay italian guy...he should have hooked your hair up. Isn't that the criteria for being gay, and a gay italian at that. LOL. I would love a fabulous gay italian; as a friend of course...as I don't think even he can do a thing with my hair...girl you know I need some African's on my hair.
The best tip when dealing with the prayer schedule is not to get anything done between Dusk (Maghrib) and Evening (Isha) prayers.
There's just no time!
Also, reading back on your reply to my other comments, you don't have to worry about explaining American figures of speech to me (aka gay, bucket) I understand them just fine. ;)
